THE SICILIAN CANTARO

This large ceramic vase is inspired by Sicilian tradition and takes its shape from the cantaro, an ancient household item that once played a precious role in everyday rural life.
It was originally used as a water container in homes, especially in the countryside, where modern water supply systems did not yet exist. Placed in a corner and covered with a small plate or cloth to protect the water from dust, it became the beating heart of the home—a vessel of stories, roots and life.

Today, this vase celebrates that memory and transforms it into design. Its imposing shape and three side handles recall the original function of the object, while its artisanal craftsmanship and glazing give it elegance, brightness and uniqueness.
