Moor\u2019s heads couple – size small – Ninella and Carmelo<\/h2>\n

Ninella<\/strong> lives on the island of Salina in a white house with a vegetable garden.
\nShe loves spending her days among the spicy chillies, juicy capers and freshly picked tomatoes in her kitchen.
\nEvery night she sits in a wicker chair and watches the sunset kiss the sea.<\/p>\n

Carmelo<\/strong> lives in Alicudi.
\nHe loves travelling, even though he never actually has, and spends his days writing love poems while he looks east to Salina.
\nHis words wash back and forth across the paper, following the movement of the tides.
\nBy day he loves to dry chilly peppers in the hot sun and at night he counts the stars in the sky while he waits to find his own.<\/p>\n

Moor\u2019s heads couple Ninella and Carmelo are 17 cm <\/strong> high.<\/p>\n

THE PRODUCTION<\/h3>\n

The process of creating a Moor’s head vase involves two firings in a kiln.<\/p>\n

The first lasts thirty-six hours at a temperature of about 980\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

After this, the piece is slowly cooled and then immersed in tanks containing the enamel which will give the surface of the object its distinctive, eternally glossy appearance.<\/p>\n

Once it has dried, the head is decorated by hand by our master craftsmen and then given a second firing to glaze the enamel.<\/p>\n

This takes about thirty-six hours at a temperature of 920\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

IDEAS AND INSPIRATIONS<\/h3>\n

The Carmelo and Ninella Moor’s heads vases are perfect in the kitchen for holding your wooden spoons or a basil plant, or at the centre of the table filled with delicious, freshly-baked breadsticks.<\/p>\n

Or even on your desk, full of coloured pencils, or on the bathroom sink, holding your toothbrushes.<\/p>\n

They can contain small plants and flowers of all types.<\/p>\n

The chilli peppers which are typical of Mediterranean cuisine represent best wishes and symbolise good luck.<\/p>\n

For this reason, Carmelo and Ninella are also an ideal gift for a loved one.<\/p>\n

CARE AND DETAILS<\/h3>\n

To clean the object, use a soft, damp, non-abrasive cloth.<\/p>\n

Do not use chemical cleaners, as these may damage the glaze.<\/p>\n

The product should be handled with care, making sure to avoid dropping it, knocking it against hard surfaces (as even the slightest bump can chip the surface) or anything else which might damage it.<\/p>\n
