FEMALE MOOR’S HEAD COLOR ETNA CHERRY – 33 CM <\/h3>\n

The roots of our “I Carusi”<\/strong> collection lie in the ancient legend of the Moor’s heads, which we have revisited with a modern twist<\/strong> to create truly unique pieces.<\/p>\n

The bright colours, elegant lineaments and sculptural form of our Moor’s heads distinguish these wonderful pieces of art.<\/p>\n

The voluminous turbans are transformed into masterpieces of Sicilian art, our hand-painted decorations covering the Moor’s heads with citrus fruits, leaves, pomegranates, and other ornamentation and rendering them absolutely unique.<\/p>\n

THE PRODUCTION <\/h3>\n

Moor\u2019s Heads undergo two kiln firings.\u2028
\nThe first is at a temperature of around 980\u00b0C and lasts for 36 hours.\u2028
\nOnce this first firing is complete, the heads are cooled and then immersed in tanks containing the glaze which gives them their characteristic brightly-coloured appearance.\u2028
\nWhen the glaze has dried, they undergo a second firing for 36 hours, this time at a temperature of around 920\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCarusi\u201d<\/strong> Moor\u2019s Heads are perfect for holding your wooden cooking utensils or a basil plant in the\u00a0kitchen, or at the\u00a0centre of the table\u00a0filled with delicious breadsticks.\u2028
\nThey are ideal for holding coloured pencils on your\u00a0desk\u00a0too, or your toothbrushes on the bathroom sink.\u2028
\nThey are also perfect for\u00a0outdoor areas\u00a0like\u00a0terraces,\u00a0balconies\u00a0or\u00a0gardens, or for brightening up a corner of your\u00a0living room, where they can hold small plants and flowers.\u2028
\nThe \u201cCarusi\u201d Moor\u2019s Heads are the perfect present for a loved one.<\/p>\n

CARING FOR YOUR MOOR’S HEAD<\/h3>\n

To clean the Moor\u2019s heads, use a damp, soft, non-abrasive cloth and avoid the use of chemical detergents which may damage the enamel.\u2028
\nThe Moor\u2019s heads should be handled gently and care should be taken not to drop them and to avoid any impact with hard surfaces, as even the slightest impact may chip the product.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

The I Carusi Moor’s heads measure 33 cm in height and are handmade in Sicily.<\/p>\n
