\nThey are\u00a0made completely freehand\u00a0by our master craftsmen, who transform each dish into a genuine work of art.<\/p>\nThe process of creating each plate is long and complex, and it is for this reason that when you choose a set of our plates you bring an all-Italian masterpiece of craftsmanship into your home.

THE PRODUCTION<\/h3>\n
It all starts when the clay, our raw material, is turned and modelled by hand until the plate\u2019s desired shape is obtained.
\nAfter allowing it to dry naturally and slowly in the open air, it undergoes an initial firing of 36 hours at a temperature of around 980\u00b0C.<\/p>\n
Once the first firing is completed, the dish is cooled and then immersed in white glaze.\u2028This process allows us to cover the raw terracotta and provides a perfect base for decoration.<\/p>\n
At this point our master craftsmen start to create the decoration, which is executed completely freehand and without the help of prints or decals, relying only upon imagination and craftsmanship and drawing inspiration from traditional decorations dating back to the 17th and 18th century, or innovating with modern colours.
\nOnce the decoration is complete, the dish undergoes a second firing of about 36 hours at 950\u00b0C which fixes the decoration, turning each dish into a unique piece.\u2028After cooling naturally, the dish is ready for use.<\/p>\n

Our plates are perfect for setting a unique, brightly-coloured table.\u2028They can be mixed and matched according to your personal taste.
\nWe love playing with decorations and setting the table a different way each time.\u2028Let the colours and patterns inspire you to create your own style of table.<\/p>\n
Good for everyday use as well as for special occasions, the bright colours of our dishes, so typical of Sicilian style, really make them stand out.
\nOrange, vintage green and pink, blue, azure, aquamarine \u2013 we use a lot of colours to bring our decorations to life.\u2028We suggest using a neutral-coloured tablecloth in pure linen or cotton, or one embroidered in the Sicilian style.
\n\u2028It will make the dishes stand out even more and ensure that your table looks wonderful.<\/p>\n
Upon request prior to ordering, plates can be adapted for wall hanging<\/strong>.<\/p>\nReplacements for individual dishes can be purchased, subject to availability.<\/p>\n
PERSONALIZATION OF PRODUCTS <\/h3>\n
Upon request, the underside of plates can be personalised with names or dates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n CARING FOR YOUR PLATES <\/h3>\n
Our handmade dishes are durable and\u00a0dishwasher-safe<\/strong>.\u2028We in any case suggest handling them carefully<\/strong> and avoiding the use of solvents or abrasive sponges which might damage the glaze.
