Our dishes are inspired by the colours and traditions of Sicilian culture, and their decorations are created entirely freehand by our master craftsmen who transform each dish into a genuine work of art.
Each plate is in fact unique, because it is the result of an artisan process that makes it different from any other.
When you buy a set of Maremoro tablewear, you bring into your home a masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship.

The process begins when the clay which is our raw material is thrown and shaped by hand to obtain the desired shape for the dish.
After leaving it to cool naturally and slowly in the open air, the dish undergoes its first firing for 36 hours at a temperature of about 980°C.
When it emerges from the first firing, the dish is cooled and then immersed in tanks containing white enamel. This process allows it to be given its traditional terracotta colour and provides the perfect base for decoration.
Next, our master craftsmen carry out the decoration, which is completely freehand and uses no prints or transfers, taking inspiration from traditional decorations dating back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, given a contemporary twist by the use of modern colours.
Once the decoration has been completed, it is given a second firing for 36 hours at a temperature of around 950°C which glazes the colours, making each dish unique. Once it has dried naturally, the dish is ready to be used.
Our dishes are perfect for setting a unique and colourful table, and can be mixed and matched according to your personal taste.

Perfect for everyday use as well as for special occasions, the bold colours which are so characteristic of Sicilian style ensure that our dishes stand out.
Blue, yellow, black, red, green, blue – we use many colours to bring the decorations to life.
We suggest using a pure linen or cotton tablecloth in a neutral colour or an embroidered Sicilian tablecloth to make your table look wonderful – the dishes will stand out even more, leaving you and your guests speechless.
The dishes can also be hung on the wall, and it is possible to customize the back of the dishes with a name and a date on request.
Depending on availability, it is possible to buy replacements for broken dishes.
Our handmade dishes are durable and can be washed in the dishwasher.
We suggest, however, handling them carefully and avoiding the use of solvents or abrasive sponges which might damage the glaze.
Take care not to bang dishes together when loading the dishwasher and separate them well to avoid friction during the wash.
